Alexander Isak Determined to Force Liverpool Transfer

Alexander Isak Pushing for Liverpool Move Amid Newcastle Uncertainty

Alexander Isak is set on leaving Newcastle United for Liverpool before the 1 September deadline. The Swedish striker made his intentions clear after the Magpies turned down a £110m offer from the Reds earlier this month.

Liverpool hinted they might walk away, but Isak’s push could keep talks alive. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe admitted “everything is in play” regarding the forward’s future but confirmed he will not feature in the club’s opener against Aston Villa.

Alexander Isak missed Newcastle’s pre-season tour with a minor thigh injury and trained alone at former club Real Sociedad. He returned to England last week. Isak scored 27 goals in 42 appearances last season and has three years left on his contract.

Newcastle’s search for a new striker has been tough. Liam Delap joined Chelsea, Benjamin Šeško went to Manchester United, and Hugo Ekitike signed for Liverpool. The Magpies now have their eyes on Brentford’s Yoane Wissa. They are also close to landing AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw for £34.62m.
